Nothing beats a family get together at Christmas time. And it was so for Stephanie and Michael who decided to get married 4 days before Christmas in Rathveigh Church and then onto the sumptuous Ballymagarvey Village for their wedding reception. When i arrived at Stephanies brothers gorgeous house at Eaton Square makeup artist Ailbhe Lynch was busy putting the finishing touches to the girls makeup. Ailbhe is always a pleasure to work with and considerate of the timing needed for the bride to get photos and video before we leave for the church to setup. Another team player. There was a lovely Christmas spirit in the house with the decorations and excitement from the kids with Christmas only four days away. As i headed off to the church i could see the clouds begin to darken but luckily i was able to get some lovely establishing shots before the rain came. By the time Stephanie arrived it was pouring down but it kind of added to the excitement as the couple were not going to let the weather dampen the spirits. Indeed those spirits were lifted be the always impressive voice of Nikki Kavanagh who really added to the ceremony with some beautiful songs. Wedding in Ballymagarvey Village After a beautiful ceremony by a local priest and friend from Michaels parish we all headed back to this wedding in Ballymagarvey Village where John Regan and the team were awaiting the arrival of Stephanie and Michael. Unfortunately the rain persisted but it did not put the crowd off who were intent on having a great time. We had some lovely speeches before the band got the real party started and Michael really showed us some [...]
Wedding Reception: Ballymagarvey Village, Balrath, Co. Meath, Ireland One of Irelands most popular 5star wedding venues is without a doubt Ballymagarvey Village in Co. Meath. From the moment you enter the gates you are taken away from everyday life, all your needs are catered for with beautiful surrounds and pleasant staff. I never grow old of visiting Ballymagarvey for weddings and nearly everytime i return they have done something new to make it even better...... Emer and Martin contacted me after seeing another of my previous Ballymagrvey weddings on my website, but what really struck me was that Emer had seen where i was from and was glad to keep the work local. It's always nice to be supported by the local community and also to give something back of course. They had also decided to include the Wedding Pop-Up Book ,which you can see if you click the link. I started in their gorgeous house in Malahide with magnificant views over malahide estuary where the girls were sipping champagne and getting ready. Then it was straight to Ballymagarvey for the civil ceremony. As a bonus the weather was amazing so all the guests could enjoy the gardens out the back of the house after the ceremony which was really nice and emotional. Unusually for my wedding highlights this one features a live band from the day reception, the guys from The Hitmen Trio are just amazing, i have came across them many times now in the evening part of weddings and they are always a big hit with the crowd. This wedding was no different. Here's what Emer thought about her wedding video highlights : "Oh Ronan, just after watching it [...]
Wedding Reception: Ballymagarvey Village, Meath. From my first contact with Shalom and Patrick I had a feeling their wedding was going to be planned to perfection! And boy did they do it in style. Their church in Dundalk was amazing and a perfect setting for this lovely couple to say their vows. The music in the church was out of this world and was provided by musicians Aoife Dennedy, Jane Murphy and Ailbhe Kirkan. They were joined by soloist Sarah McCourt. After Shaloms father got over Patrick kissing him on the top of the aisle it was over to the picturesque Ballymagarvey Village, where they were met by manager John Regan. Shalom looked beautiful, complimented by gorgeous make-up by Lida Hertel . Gorgeous weather played its part and photographerKip Carroll and myself had some lovely scenes to capture a great wedding video. The band for the reception were A Few Good Men and really got the party going from the off. Wedding Videographer Dublin was of the one and only Quinn Video !
Wedding Ceremony: Rathfeigh Church Co.Meath Wedding Reception: Ballymagarvey Village,Co. Meath When i arrived in Rathfarnham at Sarahs mothers house to shoot her wedding video things were very relaxed. They had just finished breakfast and only the family dog, Lexi was still hungry! Some things never change. After filming the final Bridal Preparations it was off the Rathfeigh Church, Co. Meath for the rest of the wedding video. The weather just picked up beautiful on the journey over and the church grounds were immaculate as always. Groom David King and the groomsmen were checking all the final touches had been done inside the church and even had time to catch a few rays of sun before the guests started arriving. After a lovely ceremony by Fr. Padraig Daly the party moved to the sumptuous Ballymagarvey Village where the wonderful John Regan was there to meet the newly married couple. With the weather so fine the guests were about to enjoy their drinks in the beautiful landscaped grounds of the village while we had a beautiful setting for our photoshoot. We were even joined by the the couples dog, Len for a few shots!! Leave a comment below if you like.
