Wedding Videographer – Maria and Phil Wedding Video

Wedding Ceremony: Church of St Michael Darver, Louth

Wedding Reception: Darver Castle, Readypenny, Louth

This beautiful wedding video comes from Darver Castle in Louth. A wonderful family run venue where everyone is treated well, including staff and it shines through in their attitude and willingness to help. Maria initially contacted me after a referral from a friend of hers. After meeting me and a quick chat i think she knew i was the right person to be her wedding videographer.

Wedding Videographer

As a wedding videographer you come across quite a few emotional moments, and the wedding of Maria and Phil was such a wedding. With that in mind I am keeping this blog short and sweet, and i’ll let the pictures from this wedding video tell the story.

Thanks to Trevor and the staff at Darver Castle for once again being so considerate towards myself and the photographer, it makes such a difference, and makes the job of the wedding videographer so much easier.

Wedding Video { Caoimhe and Niall }

Wedding Ceremony: St Patricks Church, Ashbourne, Co.Meath

Wedding Reception: Moyvalley Hotel, Balyna Estate, Co Kildare

Initially I met Caoimhe at a wedding fair in Citywest in Dublin where she was searching for a wedding videographer and photographer. Well the world is such a small place it turned out i knew a lot of Caoimhe and Nialls friends from gracepark in Dublin, mostly through football.

The preparations were under way  in Fleenstown, Co.Meath in her parents house when i arrived on the morning of the wedding. Hair and make was getting the final touch ups and there was an air of excitement in the house. I didn’t have too far to travel to the church for the mass and it was beautiful ceremony which incorporated a lot of  ”as gaeilge”, Caoimhe is a teacher in an all irish school.

From the church we headed over to Moyvalley Hotel in Kildare , a spectacular surroundings to shoot the rest of the wedding video. Caoimhe and Niall had choosen Gary Barrett as their wedding photographer which was great as Gary is such a pleasure to work with and also just a nice guy to spend time with. all of these things make shooting wedding videos so much easier!

With such a young hip crowd there was no surprise that the dance floor was still packed when i headed fro home…….

Wedding Video { Laura and Donal}

Wedding Ceremony: St Peter and Paul Church, Baldoyle, Dublin

Wedding Reception: Marine Hotel, Sutton, Dublin

Laura and Donal contacted me after finding Quinn Video through a local google search. Laura explained that she wanted to keep things local so it turned out to be a real local affair as the wedding photographer on the day was David McNeill from portmarnock also!

Bridal preparations were under full swing at Lauras parents house in Baldoyle when i arrived. The make up girls were working in the back of the house with beautiful light coming from the large sliding doors so I knew i was going to be able to capture some nice shots. I had only a short drive to the church were i met Donal and his 2 groomsmen. The lads were very calm and enjoying greeting the guests.

After a lovely mass again it was only a shot trip to the Marine Hotel in Sutton, but not before we headed off to Howth head with David to capture some beautiful shots for the wedding video just before the sun went down. The wedding party were enjoying a lovely reception in the hotel when we arrived.

After a beautiful meal the gang hit the dance floor for the evening providing myself and David with some gorgeous closing shots. As a wedding videographer its always nice to get a few local weddings. I hope you enjoy the wedding video

Wedding Video Dublin { Claire and Anthony }

Church : St Patricks Church, Ringsend, Dublin

Reception : Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth, Kildare

When i met Claire at the Citywest show in january 2012 I was the first wedding videographer she spoke to. After a chat and a laugh she just took my lollipops and her and her pal went off on their rounds of all the vendors. Whatever I said to them must have been good (or my lollipops were) as she came back to book me at the show.

It was clear that Claire did not want a fuss made about her with the wedding video so when I explained to her that i operate using a very discrete wedding videography style she was starting to get the picture of how Quinn Video works with it’s Bride and Grooms.

On the day of the wedding i arrived in Penrose Street, Ringsend at Claires fathers house. There was a really special atmosphere in the house with brothers and sister and children all meeting up. I knew this wedding video would show strong family bonds.After a beautiful mass we headed off to the Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth, Kildare.

Claire and Anthony are both proud season ticket holders for Celtic Football Club so the names of tables each had a famous players name. The cake was celtic, the bridesmaids dresses were green. You get the picture! It was a pleasure to be their wedding videographer and i think i captured the essence of Claire and Tony.

Rachel and Anthony Highlights

Church : Immaculate Heart of Mary, City Quay

Reception : Clontarf Castle, Clontarf.

When Rachel asked me to shoot her Wedding Video on New Year’s Eve in Clontarf Castle I was excited. The castle is a beautiful setting for a winter wedding. But what really blew me away was on the day when I was greeted at the door of her mothers house by the gorgeous bride……………..Rachel was going for a beautiful vintage look that only a few could pull off. And boy Rachel did just that.

One of her idols is Audrey Hepburn but Rachel would have stole the show even if Audrey had been there. She wore her dress and look to perfection ! In fact she OWNED the look !

When I arrived at the church Antony and his groomsmen were overseeing the final touches and the flowers and alter looked great. Anthony himself looked immaculate, and was a picture of calm greeting his guests until just before Rachel arrived to be given away by her brother Michael. The Mass was one of the most sincere and also humorous masses i have witnessed and thanks for this must go to Fr. John Owens. His words were warm and heartfelt.

With family and friends in great form everyone had a great time and after enjoying  a lovely meal, they really never left the dance floor all night. My kind of crowd indeed. Best of luck to Rachel and Anthony in the future…… It was my pleasure to film your special day.

Wedding Video Kildare { Barbara and John }

Wedding Ceremony: Oblate’s Church, Inchicore , Dublin

Wedding Reception: Westgrove Hotel, Clane, Co.Kildare

Barbara and John got married in Inchicore in the heart of Dublin. They had a beautiful photoshoot in the Gardens of the Royal Hospital Kilmainham where i was able to capture some stunning wedding videography before we left Dublin.

The reception was in the Westgrove Hotel in Clane where the guests enjoyed a lovely reception followed by a beautiful meal. There wasn’t much space on the dance floor at this wedding when i was leaving which is the sign of a late night ahead!

Wedding Video-Helen and Paddy-Roganstown Hotel-Dublin

Church : Chapel of the Blessed Margaret Ball, Santry, Dublin

Reception : Roganstown Hotel, Swords, Co.Dublin

It’s been a while since my last irish wedding video blog, so I think its time to start catching up with last years weddings!
Helen and Paddy chose myself as their wedding videographer after seeing some of my wedding video samples online. helen told me she wanted a discrete videographer, which meant i was the right match for her!
I started the day in Helens parents house in Whitehall where her father proudly told me about his affinity for Whitehall GAA Club whilst going about his business of getting lots of beer and ice into a large barrel for the next day. They were hosting a wedding party in the back garden the day after the wedding.

It was only when  got to the church that i met Paddy and i thought ” Damn he looks familiar! “. As we got talking we realised we went to the same school in Drumcondra, Rosmini. We had a lovely wedding mass and it was not long before we were off to Roganstown Hotel in Swords. With lovely weather there was people enjoying themselves out on thew lawn of the hotel while others stayed in with their cool beers.

The beer went down well as there wasn’t a spot to be had on the dance floor later that evening to finish off what was a beautiful wedding video. I was grateful to be their wedding videographer for the day in Dublin.

Wedding Video { Lisa and Hugh }

Wedding Ceremony: The Church of St. Thomas the Apostle , Tallaght, Dublin

Wedding Reception: The Royal Marine Hotel, Dun Laoghaire, Co.Dublin

I first met Lisa through her wedding photographer Paul Andrews. She explained to me that she was having a Disney themed wedding and wanted that to show through on the wedding video but not take over it.

The Reception was help in the Royal Marine Hotel in Dun Laoghaire. We were greeted at the front door by Mickey and Minnie, but we got out first taste of Disney in the church were there were disney teddys waiting in the Bride and Grooms seats! All of the kids, and some adults too, really enjoyed the afternoon with the 2 icons.

The room in the Royal Marine is gorgeous and Lisa and Hugh had it tastefully decorated in the disney theme. The main attraction was the 7 tier wedding cake! Everyone agreed it looked amazing and it was one of the nicest cakes i’ve ever seen in a wedding video.
As their wedding videographer I was with them for the whole day, right up until their first dance.

Avril and Christy Highlights

Wedding Ceremony: St Mochta’s Church, Porterstown, Dublin 15

Wedding Reception: Porterstown Road, Castleknock, Dublin 15

I first met Avril and Christy at the Citywest wedding fair in january. They came over, listened to what i had to say and Christy just said “We’ll be back to you”. Now if i had booked ever couple who says that Id be running a big company. But i knew Christy and Avril would be back. There’s just something special about them; a warmth or sincerity, I’m sure their friends could put their finger it but I find it hard to explain.

On the morning of the wedding Avril and her gorgeous bridesmaids were as relaxed as ever, Rocco her dog was already dressed to impress and he was even more amused than me at the bridesmaids practicing the secret dance routine! I popped into Castleknock Hotel on the way as it was close to the church, and whilst the boys didn’t see me i could see them settling the nerves with a few cold beers.

By the time i was set up in the lovely St Mochta’s Church Christy and his crew were assembling outside to greet the guests. And greet he did, everyone was greeted with hugs, kisses or handshakes and the hugs were not only for the women. Nice to see men showing true affection to each other.

A beautiful mass was presided over by Fr Sean McArdle and the tone and ambiance in the church was perfect, music was to the fore and provided by Ruth,Catherine,Joanne,Keven and Aengus. Beautiful is all i can say.

Afterwards it was a short trip to the Castleknock Hotel for the guests while the wedding party headed for “The Park” for some lovely photos. The reception was lovely in Castleknock when we arrived and the good weather had everyone in high spirits, or was it the spirits that had them high ?!!
After some very emotional speeches the final piece in this story was a surprise dance routine preformed by the wedding party and i’m sure everyone who was there will agree, the atmosphere was electric.  Oh yes, I nearly forgot…………….
When i was shooting footage in Avrils bedroom i seen the book “The Secret”, that folks, answered the question i had at the start of the blog, now i knew why i was so sure Avril and Christy would come back.

Stephen and Emma Wedding Video

Wedding Reception : Crowne Plaza, Santry

Wedding Ceremony : St Brendans Church, Coolock

For me this was a local Wedding Video Dublin. Emma and Stephen got married in St Brendans Church, Coolock Village. After filming the Bridal parties final preparations in the mother of the brides house I set off for the church,thinking to myself that there’s no way the groom was going to as relaxed as the  his beautiful Bride to be, Emma ! After a text from Tommy, the best man and grooms brother I was told the lads took a detour to the Pub… So over i went to the Kyles,the local, to not only find a relaxed groom, but there he was settling the 4 pints of Guinness he had just pulled. With couples this relaxed you always know its gonna be a joy to film Their Wedding Day.

Photography on the day was provided by Paul Andrews Photography and he was great to work with.

The Evening was celebrated in the Crowne Plaza in Santry and when their band, Hard to Touch, had finished playing there wasn’t a single person who didn’t have sore feet, and they had left me with the easy job of completing the perfect wedding video.
