Wedding Video – Faithlegg Hotel – Gillian and Alan

Wedding Ceremony: Faithlegg Church, Faithlegg, Waterford
Wedding Video : Faithlegg House Hotel, Waterford

“By Hook or by Crook”

Before i filmed this wedding i never understood the meaning of “By hook or by crook” and to be honest i never even knew it was related to Waterford. Ah the things you learn on road as a wedding videographer.

Gillian and Alan found me through a quick google search after which Gillian contacted me to tell me how much she liked my wedding video style. It would mean my first visit to Faithlegg House Hotel in Waterford to film a wedding ( I have played golf there previously ) so i was delighted as variety is the spice of life. And never more so when it comes to filming wedding videos. Gillian had also enquired about her wedding makeup from Lida, my partner but decided in the end to use a local girl .

We had a beautiful ceremony in the gorgeous church opposite the hotel. You could tell from the reflection and from the readings that Gillian and Alan had put a lot of thought into this wedding ceremony. Gillians brother sang during communion and that even made it into the wedding video highlights. Afterwards the guests all got to gorge on some lovely cool ice creams outside the church before making their way over the road to the wedding reception.
Wedding Video

The hotel was looking beautiful in the late august sunshine. The kids were due back in school, so there was little doubt we’d get sunshine! Still, Gillians mother had her child of Prague outside the house. No chances been taken here. The evening entertainment was provided by the very popular band, Springbreak who had the floor packed when it [...]

    Wedding Video – Luttrellstown Castle – Laura and Richard

Wedding Video – Luttrellstown Castle – Laura and Richard

Wedding Ceremony: St. Mochtas Church, Porterstown Road, Castleknock, Dublin
Wedding Video Dublin: Luttrellstown Castle

Planning a wedding from abroad is many times more difficult than from home, so when Richard and Laura contacted me initially to tell me they loved my wedding video and to see if i was available I was delighted. Richard had trawled through the wedding videographers online and decided my shooting style was the one for him. A vote of confidence is always good, more so from people who you know are trusting you with one of their cherished memories, their wedding video.

Wedding Makeup Artist:

As i do with most of my customers now, i sent Laura on the details of my finace,  who is one of Irelands most sought after makeup artists right now. Laura was delighted and decided to book Lida Hertel there and then! As the hair and makeup is already well underway when i arrive it’s always nice to see Lida with everything under control.

Luttrellstown Castle Wedding Videos:

Although i have shot so many wedding videos around Dublin I had never shot one at Luttrellstown Castle. The venue and it’s grounds are magnificent. With friendly and efficient staff it has a certain “stately home” feel to it. With beautiful grounds too it provided so many options for the wedding video.

I can’t let this blog post slide without a mention for St. Mochtas Church, it is so nice, beautiful stonework and also on the inside it is so intimate. I really love shooting wedding ceremonies in there. On top of that is the convenient location to Luttrellstown Castle .

Customer Reaction to this Wedding Video:

“Hi Ronan,
We absolutely LOVE the video, a million thanks you’s from both of us. We cannot believe how well [...]

Wedding Video Castleknock – Quinn Video

Wedding Reception: Castleknock Hotel, Porterstown Road, Dublin
Cristina and Sean got married in Casleknock Hotel in a civil ceremony.
Cristina contacted me about 18 months beforehand to say she loved my wedding videography style and would like me to capture their big day. When she told me about some of her plans i was delighted to get involved. Cristina had planned every aspect of her special day and it showed!

Wedding Video Castleknock
From the moment i enter the ceremony room to get some detail shots i could see that Cristin had thought of everything and this was emphasized even more so when i seen the room for the wedding reception. Her tables were decorated to perfection. Classy.

For the photo shoot Cristin and Sean had arranged to go to Farmleigh and photographer Brenda Maguire kept things fresh and fun.

I’d just like to say thanks for choosing me for your wedding video castleknock .

Wedding Video { Caoimhe and Niall }

Wedding Reception: Moyvalley Hotel, Balyna Estate, Co Kildare
Initially I met Caoimhe at a wedding fair in Citywest in Dublin where she was searching for a wedding videographer and photographer. Well the world is such a small place it turned out i knew a lot of Caoimhe and Nialls friends from gracepark in Dublin, mostly through football.

The preparations were under way  in Fleenstown, Co.Meath in her parents house when i arrived on the morning of the wedding. Hair and make was getting the final touch ups and there was an air of excitement in the house. I didn’t have too far to travel to the church for the mass and it was beautiful ceremony which incorporated a lot of  “as gaeilge”, Caoimhe is a teacher in an all irish school.

From the church we headed over to Moyvalley Hotel in Kildare , a spectacular surroundings to shoot the rest of the wedding video. Caoimhe and Niall had choosen Gary Barrett as their wedding photographer which was great as Gary is such a pleasure to work with and also just a nice guy to spend time with. all of these things make shooting wedding videos so much easier!

With such a young hip crowd there was no surprise that the dance floor was still packed when i headed fro home…….

Feel free to share.

Mayo Wedding Video – Mary and David

Wedding Ceremony: St. Joseph’s Church, Binghamstown, Bellmullet, Co Mayo
Wedding Reception: Broadhaven Bay Hotel, Belmullet, Co. Mayo
Wedding Video:
Mary and David got in touch with me after they saw Sarah and Stephens Wedding Highlights . Davids sister Mairead was a bridesmaid at that wedding and she encouraged the newly engaged couple to check out some of the weddings on my website and the pricing which i am very grateful for. ( I still haven’t passed on that gratitude through a bottle of wine, shame on me ! )
Wedding Videos Mayo:
When Mary told me the location for the wedding was Belmullet, Co.Mayo I did not hesitate…………….I’ve never been to New York so i figured i might as well go as close as i can without leaving Ireland! I was also very pleased when i check Philip Stratfords website . Mary had chosen a photographer who would compliment the way i like to shoot my wedding videos.

Broadhaven Bay Hotel:
The reception was in the Broadhaven Bay Hotel in Belmullet, Co.Mayo and all the guests enjoyed the good weather outside before heading in for their dinner. The dance floor was jammed when i was leaving and the party had gotten into full swing. Later reports would suggest the party continued well into the next day!

Wedding Video { Orla and Batman }

Wedding Reception: Kimmage Manor Parish, Whitehall Road, Dublin 12
Yes you are probably thinking i have gone mad or something but this was actually Batman that got married. Originally Paul, he is such a Batman nut that he changed his name to Batman! judging by their song choice and dancing he’s also a huge Michael Jackson fan.

Orla and Batman got married a gorgeous church in Dublin 12 that i had never heard of, Kimmage Manor Parish. Before the ceremony i went over to Orlas’ parent house to capture the preparation for their wedding video. Hair and Make up was being finished and there was a great sense of excitement.

The reception was in the gorgeous Finnstown House Hotel where the staff are always very kind. They also have some nice grounds for photos, although the weather was damp and wet so we didn’t spend too much time getting cold! All in all this wedding video was a joy to do and Orla and Batman were really great fun on the day

Wedding Video { Laura and Donal}

Wedding Reception: Marine Hotel, Sutton, Dublin
Laura and Donal contacted me after finding Quinn Video through a local google search. Laura explained that she wanted to keep things local so it turned out to be a real local affair as the wedding photographer on the day was David McNeill from portmarnock also!

Bridal preparations were under full swing at Lauras parents house in Baldoyle when i arrived. The make up girls were working in the back of the house with beautiful light coming from the large sliding doors so I knew i was going to be able to capture some nice shots. I had only a short drive to the church were i met Donal and his 2 groomsmen. The lads were very calm and enjoying greeting the guests.

After a lovely mass again it was only a shot trip to the Marine Hotel in Sutton, but not before we headed off to Howth head with David to capture some beautiful shots for the wedding video just before the sun went down. The wedding party were enjoying a lovely reception in the hotel when we arrived.

After a beautiful meal the gang hit the dance floor for the evening providing myself and David with some gorgeous closing shots. As a wedding videographer its always nice to get a few local weddings. I hope you enjoy the wedding video

Wedding Video Dublin { Claire and Anthony }

Church : St Patricks Church, Ringsend, Dublin
Reception : Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth, Kildare
When i met Claire at the Citywest show in january 2012 I was the first wedding videographer she spoke to. After a chat and a laugh she just took my lollipops and her and her pal went off on their rounds of all the vendors. Whatever I said to them must have been good (or my lollipops were) as she came back to book me at the show.

It was clear that Claire did not want a fuss made about her with the wedding video so when I explained to her that i operate using a very discrete wedding videography style she was starting to get the picture of how Quinn Video works with it’s Bride and Grooms.

On the day of the wedding i arrived in Penrose Street, Ringsend at Claires fathers house. There was a really special atmosphere in the house with brothers and sister and children all meeting up. I knew this wedding video would show strong family bonds.After a beautiful mass we headed off to the Glenroyal Hotel, Maynooth, Kildare.

Claire and Anthony are both proud season ticket holders for Celtic Football Club so the names of tables each had a famous players name. The cake was celtic, the bridesmaids dresses were green. You get the picture! It was a pleasure to be their wedding videographer and i think i captured the essence of Claire and Tony.

My wedding video today started of in the sublime home of Ornas parents in Killiney. Rachel and Anthony Highlights

[separator top=”55″
Church : Immaculate Heart of Mary, City Quay
Reception : Clontarf Castle, Clontarf.
When Rachel asked me to shoot her Wedding Video on New Year’s Eve in Clontarf Castle I was excited. The castle is a beautiful setting for a winter wedding. But what really blew me away was on the day when I was greeted at the door of her mothers house by the gorgeous bride……………..Rachel was going for a beautiful vintage look that only a few could pull off. And boy Rachel did just that.

One of her idols is Audrey Hepburn but Rachel would have stole the show even if Audrey had been there. She wore her dress and look to perfection ! In fact she OWNED the look !

When I arrived at the church Antony and his groomsmen were overseeing the final touches and the flowers and alter looked great. Anthony himself looked immaculate, and was a picture of calm greeting his guests until just before Rachel arrived to be given away by her brother Michael. The Mass was one of the most sincere and also humorous masses i have witnessed and thanks for this must go to Fr. John Owens. His words were warm and heartfelt.

With family and friends in great form everyone had a great time and after enjoying  a lovely meal, they really never left the dance floor all night. My kind of crowd indeed. Best of luck to Rachel and Anthony in the future…… It was my pleasure to film your special day.
