Wedding Ceremony: Church of the Resurrection, Bayside, Dublin
Wedding Reception: Dunboyne Castle, Dunboyne, Co Meath
I had a local enough start, in Sarto Park,Sutton for this wedding video. Helen was getting her hair and make-up done at her mothers house when i arrived. Charlie was an eager beaver (well dog actually) running around the back garden with his dickie bow, which was well prepared by Tony! Of course he also carried out his drink pouring duties to perfection too so there was no nerves at all.
I met Fr Kitt Sheridan for the first time and immediately got a sense of the warmth of character of the man. As it would turn out later, he is also a longtime family friend and parish priest. After a beautiful ceremony Helen and Stephen greeted their guests outside before heading off to Dunboyne Castle for their wedding reception.
Beautiful weather awaited the wedding party at Dunboyne Castle, and there was a soothing backdrop of music provided by a wonderful string trio. The lawn at the front of the castle provided us with a perfect setting for our photo-shoot and afterwards when the party had built up an appetite, Helen and Stephen entered the room to music by an artist who lives not far from where they were both reared themselves…..the unmistakable Damien Dempsey .
To knock Damien off his perch would be hard but Helen’s sister; Jean-Anne Bond, did just that when she sang the couples wedding song for them, the beautiful Kentish Town Waltz; an Imelda May number. This couples hearts obviously belong in Dublin but for tonight their hearts rested in each others arms on the dance floor for all their families and friends to see.
