Wedding Reception: Knightsbrook Hotel, Trim, Co Meath
Sarah contacted her friend (and Maid of Honour) Mairead for help finding a wedding videographer as she was living out in Australia with her fiance Stephen. As soon as Mairead asked me was I interested in shooting their wedding video I said Yes. Having shot a couple of weddings now where the bride and groom have come back home from abroad to tie the knot i understand the importance to the couples of having the memories of the day with family recorded.
When i arrived in Kilmainham at Sarahs parents house the girls were in full swing. Hair and make-up was being done in the kitchen with regular champagne top ups in between ! Fair play. The bridesmaids all looked fab but when Sarahs hair was finished there was only ever going to one winner.
We had a lovely ceremony presided over by 3 priests and Sarah had the church looking extra special with an arch made from flowers on the aisle. I must say it really added to the walk up the aisle with her father. After a few photos it was straight on the road to Knightsbrook Hotel where the usual team of Patrick, Caroline and Sinead were awaiting our arrival.
With full bellies it was time for the speeches and as you can see from the wedding video highlights Stephen was very comfortable with the mic and it made for a most beautiful grooms speech. Very impressive. Not to be finished there, Stephen asked me to hang on till midnight so i could catch some extra dancing of the gang and they didn’t disappoint as the dance floor was full all night, due in no small part to the always impressive band, A Few Good Men . Glen and the boys would be the first to tell you that their job is always easier when the crowd are up for it. And tonight they was just jamming off the crowds energy.
